The Forest Industry in British Columbia struggles with the infestation of a devastating bug. In order to monitor the progression of this infestation, the planning for the control and the effects over time of various bug controls, is accomplished through Groupe Alta’s geospatial solutions. Our solutions have provided the department with massive data acquisition and geospatial processing in order to manage this natural resource with more precise information and technologies.
181,165 lkm of aerial imagery was acquired at different scales and the ABGPS technique was used throughout the entire project. A Production of contact prints, 2,525 digital images with orientation parameters from aerotriangulated output was also provided.
