Unrectified image to orthomosaic tile - a one-step process
Remove the rectification process and duplicate storage by processing directly from the unrectified image to the orthomosaic in step 1. The elimination of this time-consuming step is very beneficial to the overall processing workflow.
Automatic seamline creation
Tired of creating seam lines manually? Let DVP automatically create high-quality seam lines through its revolutionary seam line technology engine. This engine allows the modification of parameters to let the user have more control over the speed and quality of the resulting seam line polygons.
Powerful seamline editing tools
Using the reshape tool, the user can replace an entire section of a seam line polygon with ease. In the instance where multiple polygons share the same segments, the reshape tool will select all coincidental segments and replace the section in each. Commands such as move, insert and delete vertex will function on more than one seam line polygon simultaneously.
Output rotated orthomosaic images
Are you experiencing problems with corridor projects? Your orthomosaics have a lot of black around the edges? DVP fully supports rotated georeferenced orthomosaics. Pixels do NOT have to be orientated towards the North.
Image enhancement
Make your images eye-catching by applying powerful image filters. Modify the following in your imagery: Contrast to better distinguish features; brightness to lighten darker areas; Gamma correction to provide even better control of image luminosity; levels to make full use of the image histogram (histogram stretch) or to select the optimal portion of the histogram; channel balance to adjust each band independently for color; adjust image tint using the Hue filter (by band); and finally, boost your colors with the Saturation filter (by band). The filter layer order can be manipulated to improve and enhance the aesthetic quality of your imagery.
Color balancing
Harmonize the totality of your imagery by statistically comparing histograms and adjusting color intensity to match a referenced image. The result is visually appealing balanced imagery before you to start your project. Make that aesthetically pleasing wall map with continual color tonality covering the entire project area.
Hue and saturation
Add vibrancy to your imagery by boosting individual colors and manipulating tonality. Make those greens in the forest seem to jump out of the image…
Dodging
Dodging internally corrects light and dark areas to produce a more monochromatic balanced image. That is to say, if your image is dark on one side and light on the other, the result of the filter will be to distribute and propagate luminosity evenly. Even further enhance the balanced look of your images over the entire project area.
Color balance preview
Don’t arrive after hours of processing with a poor color balancing quality… Visualize your balanced images before processing in Orthomosaic. In the index window the user has the ability to preview the balancing and image enhancements before the orthomosaic process is run.
Vector files of all information
All files used in the orthomosaic process including the index tile file, the seam lines and any clipping files are stored as vector files meaning you can save and use the files in any supported vector format. The user is able to open up the orthomosaics in Autodesk for example and superimpose directly the seam lines for QC purposes.
Automatic tile generator
Provide DVP the size of output tiles, the naming convention and an input boundary file and Orthomosaic will automatically create the tiles for you in vector format.
Import output tile limits
If your client provides you with tile boundaries in .dgn, .dwg, or other DVP supported format, Orthomosaic will open and use these limits directly for its output orthomosaics.
Import external seam lines
If your client provides you with the seam lines generated externally from Orthomosaic in DGN, DWG or other DVP supported format, Orthomosaic will open and use directly these seam lines for the generation of orthomosaics.
Feathering
At the seam line border, Orthomosaic can feather (or blend) images together at a user-defined distance to remove the sharp seam line edge that could be apparent between adjacent images. This provides a more visually pleasing result in the output orthomosaic.
Image cropping (global fence)
The user has the option to use a boundary or global fence file. This file provides the user a mechanism to crop the outer edge of the project area and remove any unwanted edge artifacts.
Batch processing
Increase your productivity and make use of your computer downtime to efficiently run your orthomosaic processing projects. Orthomosaic has full batch processing capabilities letting the computer do the work leaving you free to do other tasks. In one step, you can open and run your project and create hundreds or even thousands of output orthomosaic tiles.
Distributed batch processing
Extend even further the batch capabilities of DVP Orthomosaic by making use of multiple computers during the batch process. Reduce the time by 4 (or greater) in your large imagery conversion jobs by simply launching the same project on each of 4 computers (or more… no limit). This scalable processing method will have you images ready in no time. On multiple CORE CPU computers, launch multiple instances of DVP Orthomosaic and assign them to each partition of the processor...use the full power that your CPU has to offer.
Seamline preview
Instantly view what your output mosaic will look like with the seam lines activated in a preview mode. Make changes to your seam lines before spending too much time re-processing the job.
