Groupe Alta flew in Afghanistan for an aerial photography and mapping project in the province of Helmand, last September 7. The work will cover the road from Lashkar Gah to Gereshk and a canal linking the province of Helmand to Afghanistan, for approximately 125 km2.
The contract was awarded following a first mission held in 2007-2008. The engineering firm Mott MacDonald will use data collected to produce the preliminary design for the construction of the road. The project will be delivered in early 2010.
