Aerial Triangulation

Aerial Triangulation is used if GPS and IMU parameters were not obtained during the acquisition process. AT is a mathematical process used to determine the position and orientation of a photograph at the moment of exposure. Exterior orientation parameters provide the information necessary to convert image measurements to ground coordinates. In general, the quality of orientation parameters and the scale of the photography are determining factors in the quality of mapping products.
